Dylan Albiani, born and raised in Modesto, California, outwardly appears to be a normal, everyday kid. Like most kids he loves to play sports such as basketball, baseball, football, and track. Dylan is an honor roll student at Big Valley Christian School. He loves debating, computer’s, and science. However in some regards, Dylan’s life is anything but normal. At the age of eleven he has become a highly recognized International Kart Federation driver. During the 2004 racing season, he won an amazing four (4) IKF Grand National Championship titles! This propelled him from a regional champion to a national champion with the designation of Professional Expert. Dylan is currently one of two drivers in his age class in the western United States to reach this status and only one of two drivers in the past four years to win this number of national events in a single year! Dylan is often pictured in karting magazines, local newspapers, and sales advertisements. he is also widely reported on the internet. Dylan began his kart racing career at the age of five. He has been a recognizable force in the kart racing community since the age of eight when he finished second at the 2001 IKF Grand National event in Santa Maria California, stunning many of kartings regulars in Southern California. Dylan has been the IKF Region 11 Nor Cal Champion the past 3 years. During the 2003/2004 winter racing season, Dylan wanted to further challenge himself so he began racing caged sprint karts on dirt. He quickly proved to be a formidable competitor, and racing only a partial schedule, he won six main events and never finished out of the top five! He missed a championship berth by only five points and earned the respect and recognition from sprint racers in the Chico and Red Bluff area. In the 2003 racing season Dylan’s star status continued to grow when he won 38 main events! In 2004 Dylan won two Northern California points championships and again turned Southern California karters on their heads by winning two of three national events at the highly coveted IKF 2 Cycle Spring Grand Nationals hosted by Buttonwillow Race Park near Bakersfield California. Many of the current NASCAR and INDY Car stars drove karts in the California region such as Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Jimmy Johnson, Buddy Rice, and A.J. Almandinger. This year as a twelve year old, Dylan will move up to the full size karts competing against drivers who are 12 to 15 years old. The karts are bigger, heavier, and faster. Dylan is prepared for the challenge and so is Nelson Manufacturing in Atwater California.
